What tools do I need?

Great question! Below I’ve labeled some of the basic tools that I personally like to use when I’m doing analog (not digital) lettering. That said, the majority of my process has moved to digital, so I work with both a Cintiq and Photoshop as well as the iPad Pro and Procreate. 

If you’re just starting out, you don’t need anything fancy at all. A simple #2 pencil and a ballpoint pen will suffice. I still use a Bic Clic Stic rollerball for my drawing. They’re cheap and they are effective. 

I have included two brushes for you! One for Photoshop/Fresco and one for Procreate.
